[UPDATE] Diddy Ordered To Pay Nearly $500K In NBCUniversal Legal Fees After Defamation
Lawsuit Gets Dismissed
Diddy has been ordered to shell out nearly half a million dollars to #NBCUniversal after the media company successfully defended itself against his lawsuit over the documentary “Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy.”
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, a judge ordered the music mogul to pay $477,700.50 toward NBCUniversal’s attorneys’ fees. Thankfully for Diddy, the amount is significantly less than what NBCUniversal originally requested. The company sought $990,292 to cover its full legal bill, but the judge determined a reduction was warranted. While the attorneys’ hourly rates were found to be reasonable given their experience, the judge concluded that some of the billing was excessive.
#Diddy is serving a 50-month federal prison sentence after being convicted in July 2025 on two counts of transportation to engage in pro$titution under the federal Mann Act. He was acquitted of the more serious racketeering conspiracy and s3x-trafficking charges. As of now, he’s expected to be released in early 2028.
