The findings include private #Snapchat messages and conversations from 29 group chats, some of which continued after Nolan disappeared from #HornIsland on July 4. By July 14, conversations had shifted toward Nolan’s funeral and the growing public scrutiny surrounding those who were among the last to see him alive. One person suggested, “We need to go to Nolan’s funeral and get with all our other black friends to prove a statement for the media.” The newly released records come as Nolan’s family continues pushing for a federal investigation into his passing. A grand jury declined to bring criminal charges, claiming that his cause of de@th was consistent with drowning. However, it’s important to note that Wells’ autopsy found no water in his lungs. His loved ones remain unsatisfied with the grand jury’s decision and continue seeking answers.
