Tyler Perry is preparing for a new chapter in his life — and it comes with a $30 million price tag!

The 57-year-old filmmaker, actor and entertainment mogul has reportedly purchased a massive mansion in Puerto Rico for more than $30 million. According to PEOPLE, the 14,475-square-foot property sits on nearly 1.4 acres inside a gated community. Built in 2021, the luxurious estate features five bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a private movie theater, swimming pool, gym and an open-concept kitchen.

The purchase comes just weeks after Perry revealed plans to relocate to Puerto Rico in early 2027 and significantly reduce his workload. During a September appearance on TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle, he explained:

“Yep, moving to Puerto Rico at the top of the year, and I’m pulling back a whole lot.”

When asked what inspired the decision, Perry shared:

“Getting older [inspired this]. It’s time to slow down a bit, enjoy more time with my son and just take it all in.”

Perry shares his 11-year-old son, Aman, with his former longtime girlfriend, Gelila Bekele. However, stepping back doesn’t mean he’s completely walking away from the entertainment industry. According to TMZ, sources say Perry plans to establish a production office in Puerto Rico and film projects on the island while keeping his massive Atlanta-based Tyler Perry Studios operational.

Meanwhile, Perry is also making major moves with his real estate portfolio. In September, he listed his Beverly Hills mansion for $57 million. The sprawling 24,592-square-foot estate previously served as a temporary residence for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in 2020. Perry also owns property in Atlanta and a private island in the Bahamas, while his Wyoming home was listed for $39.5 million earlier this year.
