Evelyn Lozada Skips Basketball Wives Reunion Show, VH1 Pulls the Plug
Evelyn Lozada is so over Basketball Wives. After five seasons, she’s beyond it so much that she refused to film the show’s reunion episode. This week, TMZ reported that VH1 was supposed to tape the reunion show earlier this month, but Evelyn refused to participate. Why? Allegedly, because she didn’t want to discuss her ex-husband, Chad Ochocinco Johnson. Reportedly, producers cancelled the entire reunion because they felt there wasn’t enough material for viewers to watch. Evelyn also confirmed the news on twitter:
Evelyn’s stance on wanting to close this chapter of her life, isn’t new news. In a recent interview with the Huffington Post, the 37-year-old explained:
I signed on to do five seasons and this is our fifth. I don’t really see me doing a sixth season. I know I can carry my own show, pretty much carried this one. I would do my own show because I know I would have creative control. I’m in a different space, I’m open to doing a spin-off, but just not with a cast of women.
And Evelyn isn’t the only one requesting a spin-off.
During an interview with Power 105’s ‘The Breakfast Club’, Tami Roman explained that she’s ready to move on:
I said I don’t think I will, but my contract’s not up. But I do believe that Bastball Wives has run it’s course. I think it’s just time the natural trangression is we have our own shows or we have ventures that we move onto and keep the train moving.

Good!!!!! Tired of this mess anyway. She carried the show because she was acting like a wild animal with no home training. They let her make a fool of herself on national TV.
Uggghhhh I am so tired of this show….ok ok she not coming. I am glad that this show is not going to be renewed for another season. Good bye Basketball Wives (so called basketball wives because this title doesn’t even fit this show…they were all not wives)!
Not interested in the reunion. Not interested in a 6th season – unless they do a full recast with more interesting women. The last episode was kinda funny, seeing Susie look like she was attacked by a cat. I don’t really think they could carry their own show.
Glad the show will be over. I stopped watching these hating, instigating, always starting mess, messy ass females awhile ago! The only real basketball wives were the guess cast anyway, hence the jealously, and please don’t give them two drama queens their own show!
I think there was alot more to that fight with Chad. She acts like Assn untamed idiot on the show every other day trying to hit people with bottles and more. Then you get had butted by your husband and all of a sudden want to play victim. Girl stop it! I stopped watching that crap a long time ago. No show for Evelyn please. It’s enough reality drama shows out here that don’t represent the title name. She aided already in one of them.
