Rihanna Gives Bloggers the “Middle Finger” & One Blogger Returns the Favor

Last month, Rihanna had some choice words about bloggers that she shared with radio show host, Ed Lover. Long story short, she’s not Mc Lovin you bloggers. Saturday evening, a popular blogger, Kitty Bradshaw (who blogs about “New York Life from a California Perspective”) publicly shared her thoughts on Rihanna’s anti-blogger comments via twitter.
First, read what Rihanna actually said about bloggers, then see Kitty Bradshaw’s response.
Rihanna on reading blogs:
“[I still read the blogs] sometimes, it depends on what it is I am trying to find out. I’m a lot more numb to it now only because I understand what it is. It’s a community for people who don’t have anything else to do and hate themselves, they hate their life, they hate their job, they hate their appearance, they are uncomfortable with who they are so what makes them feel good is talking smack about other people who they think they will never ever see in their life and they happen to be celebrities. It seems impossible to ever have the opportunity to say these things to their face, so they get to hide behind their computer.”
Kitty Bradshaw’s response: “Dear @rihanna I just read the transcript from your interview last month regarding Bloggers and find your opinions to be very ignorant. You should EDUCATE yourself on the Blogging community, if you did, you would find out that only 10% represents celebrity gossip.
As a Blogger, who reports on lifestyle… the more popular I get the more I find Celebrity PR teams emailing me information on their celebrity clients to generate buzz.…
When Bloggers stop talking about you, you simply don’t exist…. so you owe all “Bloggers” an apology B for categorizing us.
Lastly, ummm you were the one who chose to stay in a relationship where you were getting your ass beat…. don’t blame Bloggers for reporting what was already being widely covered on all platforms of media.
I am tired of these stupid fucking Urban Celebrities…. I don’t report on the bitch… but don’t come for all Bloggers. Blogging is what makes the world go round… we are New Media… we are putting printed publications out of business…We take our own pictures, and we basically represent the tone for what the people are talking about…
These Urban Celebrities need to get a clue, and either become down with us or get made an example of…Bloggers ain’t going no where!
FURTHER more, I was the Blogger who was on Twitter telling people to go buy your album because I enjoyed it… never again!
AGAIN, these PR people that represent these celebrities send us stuff… 6 out of 10 Americans run some sort of Blog! The point when tabloid news started becoming “Breaking News” marked the beginning of the end for the old style of journalism… (this Tweet is opinion based).” Check her time-line for her complete response.
