Aretha Franklin Released from Hospital, “Family & friends are taking great care of me.” + Plans for Upcoming Appearances

Although Aretha Franklinhas not officially confirmed that she has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, she has officially released a statement confirming that she has been home for the past 3 days. It also looks like her battle with cancer will not slow her down socially.
The statement shared, “My family and friends who brought me home are taking great care of me. I also have a private nurse who visits on a daily basis. I’m hoping to be strong enough to go out and see the upcoming Sam Cooke play at the Music Hall in downtown Detroit before Jan. 2, as well as a performance of ‘Dreamgirls’ at the FOX [theater] before it closes.”
