[Photos] Prince Hits ‘Essence Festival’

Prince (real name Prince Rogers Nelson) took his talents to New Orleans, performing for the 20th celebration of Essence Music Festival.

The 56-year-old artist gave the crowd classic hits including — ‘Kiss’, ‘When Doves Cry’, ‘Let’s Go Crazy’,   ”Raspberry Beret’, ‘Nothing Compares To You’, ‘1999’, ‘Purple Rain’, etc. 

Prince shared the stage with singer Lianne Le Halvas, New Orleans’ “Trombone Shorty”, Janelle Monae (she performed Electric Lady and Primetime), guitarist Nile Rodgers, etc.  Check out the photos, along with Instagram shots slung by Lil Mo at Prince.
