[EXCLUSIVE] Evander Holyfield Lawyers Up! Fights With Auction House Over Memorabilia
Boxing legend Evander Holyfield is accusing Julien’s Auction House of holding his items hostage and has headed back to court to have the company ordered to return his prized possessions, theJasmineBRAND.com has exclusively learned.
Holyfield filed suit against Julien’s Auction House back in 2012. The 51-year-old claimed he entered into an agreement with them to sell off a ton of his memorabilia. However, the auction house was set to sell off items he told them were NOT for sale, including the gloves he wore in the 1996 fight against Mike Tyson and the 1984 Olympic robe he wore.
Holyfield had to post a $250K bond in order to obtain a temporary restraining order against the auction, which he did and the restraining order was granted.
