WNBA’s Skylar Diggins On Her Torn ACL: This injury is one of my tests I had to go through to give my testimony.
Not so good news for WNBA baller Skylar Diggins. The 24-year-old Tulsa Shock guard will miss the remainder of the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). According to the Tulsa Word, she suffered the injury to her right knee in Tulsa’s game against the Seattle Storm on Sunday night. This week, Skylar posted an open-letter on Instagram about her injury and how she plans to move forward. She writes:
Ever since I could remember, I loved the game of basketball. Once I discovered what it was, I was fascinated by it. I found my passion at 5 years old….I wanted to play ball! Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine the game could take me the places it has.
