Russell Simmons Hit With Class Action Lawsuit Over RushCard
Russell Simmons has been hit with a new class action lawsuit, according to Daily Mail Online. Reportedly, the documents accuse the 58-year-old mogul’s company Rush Communications, UniRush and Meta Financial Group, Inc. of breach of contract over the RushCard failure this month.
As previously reported, some RushCard users were unable to access the money on the prepaid debit card for over a week and a half. According to the site, five cardholders were named in the lawsuit – and some of them claim they were forced to choose between feeding their children or paying their electric bill. Other cardholders reported money was missing from their accounts. In short, they want Simmons to pay damages and restitution for what he has caused them.
