(EXCLUSIVE) Actor Titus Burgess Settles Uncle Sam Tax Debt
theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, ‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’ breakout star Titus Burgess seems to be using those Netflix paychecks wisely, with the actor paying off a massive $30k tax debt to the IRS recently and Uncle Sam headed to court and releasing all Federal Tax Liens against him.
According to official records in New York, the IRS filed a release of Federal Tax Lien explaining the actor had finally paid up on $30k in back taxes he owed for several years.
The court document reveals Titus failed to pay taxes for the years 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. The breakdown is $1,573.44 (2007), $1,575.12 (2008), $11,887.89 (2009), $11,776.08 (2010) & $2,733.75 (2011) for a grand total of $29,546.28 in tax debt to Uncle Sam.
The Federal Government filed the release on June 15th. The document says Titus has paid the full $30k and the IRS explains the debt has been settled in full.
Titus’ star has rose since breaking out on the Tina Fey created Netflix comedy and recently was nominated for his 2nd Primetime Emmy in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series category.
