(EXCLUSIVE) ‘The Preachers’ Host Jamal Bryant – Accused of Being Deadbeat Dad by Baby Mama

theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, ‘The Preachers’ host and pastor, Jamal Bryant, is accused of being a deadbeat dad by the mother of his son, with the woman slapping the TV personality with a lawsuit demanding he pay her child support ASAP  — due to her having to cover all the expenses after the pastor cut off her financial support.

Earlier this year, a Georgia woman, LaToya Odom, filed a paternity and child support lawsuit against the pastor demanding the court order him to start cutting her support checks ASAP.

LaToya says the pastor is the father to her son born in 2015 named John Karston Bryant.

She filed suit seeking primary physical and legal custody of their child, saying the kid has lived with her since birth.

The woman also wants temporary and permanent child support from Bryant, requesting the judge to order him to pay monthly support while the case is pending.

According to her, Bryant already took a DNA test and it came back he was indeed the father. She claims the pastor has made voluntary child support payments since their son’s birth. LaToya also wanted him to pay her attorney fees.

Bryant blasted his baby mama in court documents in response to the lawsuit. He admitted he was the father and did make child support payments with the intention of amicably resolving all issues over their son.

However, he claimed that he ceased all contact with LaToya and stopped paying support due to her continued harassment and his desire to have the court decided. Bryant says he accepts all legal responsibility of his kid.

He also asked the court to deny his baby mama and she pay her own attorney fees.

LaToya recently headed to court pleading for the judge to award her temporary child support. She says as an author she makes a modest income and is currently paying all of the child’s expenses including daily living expenses, child care and healthcare related expenses.

She claims she had no choice but to sue Bryant in court, in order to protect the long-term interests of their kid.

The woman says she is without the financial resources like Bryant, who is the founder of a Baltimore-area megachurch with more than 10,000 members, co-host on ‘The Preachers’ talk show and leads a flashy affluent lifestyle and is a wealthy man, reportedly having a multimillion dollar net worth.

LaToya points out Bryant has multiple sources of income including book sales, television appearances, personal appearances and podcasts. She accuses him of living a flashy lifestyle when she – who shoulders all parenting responsibilities for the child – is a single mother who lives frugally. She says she doesn’t make that much and has considerable debt from student loans.

Further, she says she has had to put her personal career aspirations on hold in order to care for the Child.

She then blasts Bryant for allegedly not being forthcoming about the true value of his net worth and finances and is refusing to hand over information regarding the sources of his income.

Latoya adds,

Defendant has demonstrated absolutely no interest in the well-being of his own son.

She believes their vast disparity in their net worth will give him an unfair advantage by allowing him to drag out the case and effectively silence her. Bryant’s baby mama is demanding the court award her temporary child support ASAP along with attorney fees to be able to fight him in court.

The judge has yet to make a decision on her motion. The case is still pending in Georgia Court.
