“Girls Trip” Comes In #3, Beats “Atomic Blonde”
Congratulations to “Girls Trip”! This weekend, the Universal Pictures R-rated comedy starring Jada Pinkett-Smith, Regina Hall, Queen Latifah and Tiffany Haddish, which fell a miniscule 36 percent from its debut weekend, took take third place with $20.1 million.
Even in weekend two, “Girls Trip” beat out Charlize Theron’s action film, “Atomic Blonde,” distributed by Universal’s Focus Features. “Atomic Blonde” opened in fourth with $18.6 million.
