Oprah Or Tiffany Haddish Should Replace Samantha In ‘Sex In The City’
Kim Cattrall has made it crystal clear that she has no interest in returning to the cast for a potential “Sex In the City 3” movie.
However, she is a fan of having her character Samantha continue on, being replaced by another A-lister. The movie’s star, Sarah Jessica Parker, suggests Ellen Degeneres. However, Kim has other suggestions.
She says that she’d like Oprah, Tiffany Haddish, or Sofia Vergara to be considered, all who are women of color.
Sex and the City was a romantic comedy-drama series created by Darren Star and produced by HBO. The series had a six year run and starred Sarah Jessica Parker (as Carrie Bradshaw), Kim Cattrall (as Samantha Jones), Kristin Davis (as Charlotte York), and Cynthia Nixon (as Miranda Hobbes). It spawned two feature films, Sex and the City (2008) and its sequel Sex and the City 2 (2010).
What are your thoughts about her suggestions? Could you see any of these women replacing Samantha? We posed the question on our IG and it garnered mixed reviews. See a few reactions below.
