Earlier this year, new developments surfaced around a “Bad Boys 3” movie. Referred to as “Bad Boys For Life”, over the past few years, there’s been endless speculation as to whether the Will Smith and Martin Lawrence film will actually make it’s way to theaters. Reportedly, Sony Pictures is negotiating with the filmmaking team of Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah to direct. Production is said to begin in August, with Jerry Bruckheimer returning as producer.
“Bad Boys”, the first film in the Bad Boys franchise, debuted in 1995. The cop action comedy film was directed by Michael Bay, produced by Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer and starred Lawrence and Smith as two narcotic Miami detectives Marcus Burnett and Mike Lowrey. The film was followed by a sequel, “Bad Boys II” (2003).
