Waka & Tammy Rivera Defend Buying New Mansion – Our House Isn’t Cheap!
Tammy Rivera Malphurs and Waka Flocka (Juaquin James Malphurs) closed the deal on a new home in the Buckhead, an Atlanta suburb. Tammy shared the good news on social media, but received backlash from fans speculating the size and projected price of the home. In an Instagram post, that has since been deleted, Rivera detailed the journey she’s had with trying to find the “perfect” home. While there are no concise details of the home (# of bedrooms/bathrooms), the pair still celebrated the milestone, nonetheless.
With a photo of her family’s new lab of luxury, Rivera writes,
Home sweet home for the next 30 or more years!!! I’m moving out of this town house (y’all remember when I moved on the show) lol we are selling our other home and this is our new start! Not too big not too small just perfect! Thank you baby @wakaflocka.
She continues,
this post isn’t to Bragg I just feel y’all been with me through my whole journey and this is a new chapter I wanted to share…Now let’s feel all these rooms with babies!!!
While it’s suspected Rivera had much excitement, she posted a message to her Instagram story that slightly overshadowed the good news. The message read,
For the ppl saying houses in Atlanta are cheap apparently haven’t bought a house in Buckhead…but ima sip my tea and finish packing!
One user brought into question the revenue from Rivera’s swimline and debut EP, “Fate”, and Waka’s capital, assuming the pair didn’t make enough to purchase such a large home. Waka silenced fault-finders by stating,
killing shows, f*cking with tech, f*cking with cannabis and staying out the way in the most humblest way.
Congrats to them!
