Lebron James Will Own A Professional Sports Team

LeBron James has plans of ownership. According to his business partner Maverick Carter, Lebron has plans to owner either a US profession sports team – football or basketball.

This month, he made headlines when he landed four-year $153 million deal to play for the Los Angeles Lakers. Of his ownership plans, Maverick says:

Yeah, 10 years from now … I know LeBron will be owning a basketball team or maybe even a football team. He does like football and he’s looked at football ownership, so he’ll be owning a basketball team and running it.

He already owns a 2% stake in England’s Liverpool soccer club.

According to Forbes, he is the sixth-highest-paid athlete in the world. $52 million of his estimated $85.5 million income came from endorsements.
