Singer H.E.R. “Black Females Need To Uplift Other Black Females”

H.E.R. Calls For More Female Artists To Stick Together – “Black Females Need To Uplift Other Black Females”
R&B singer H.E.R. (real name Gabi Wilson) is having a successful freshman year and she wants to share the wealth. The 21 year old songstress took to social media to voice her frustrations with female singers not wanting to come together. She writes,
There aren’t enough Female artists supporting other females artists. GENUINELY. No clique shit. None of that phony “you’re pretty and popular, be my friend”. That’s why we don’t have this generations “The Boy is mine” or an iconic female empowerment live performance w/ your favs. Black females need to UPLIFT other black females. No competition. No jealousy. No insecurities. You don’t have to try to diminish someone else’s value to see your own.

H.E.R., who is currently opening up for Chris Brown on his Heartbreak on a Full Moon tour, put her money where her mouth is recently when she brought out fellow R&B newcomer Ella Mai to perform with her in Brooklyn, NY.
I REALLY appreciate @ellamai who came out on my set at Barclays to CELEBRATE R&B and Female empowerment. That’s what Its about.
What do you think about H.E.R.’s comments?
