Rick Ross Offers Free Wing Stop After Beating 50 Cent In court
Rick Ross has scored another victory in his ongoing feud with fellow rapper 50 Cent. In 2015, 50 Cent took Rick Ross to court for remixing his 2003 single In Da Club on his mixtape Renzel Remixes. He accused Ross of illegally using his name and voice to promote his album Black Market by claiming the remix “featured” him. 50 Cent asked the judge that Ross be ordered to pay him upwards of $2 million.
According to Rick Ross, this lawsuit was just revenge for 50 Cent having to pay Rick Ross’ baby mama $7 million for leaking her sex tape.
This week, the judge sided with Rick Ross, reportedly tossing out the case. According to the judge, 50 Cent does not own the copyright or master recordings for the song, they belong to Shady/Aftermath Records, therefore the case was dismissed without merit.
Rick Ross took to Twitter to announce his win AND offer everyone some free Wing Stop on him.
