Real Housewives of Potomac’s Michael Darby No Longer Faces Charges Over Allegedly Groping Cameraman
BRAVO reality star Michael Darby can officially breathe a sigh of relief. The 51-year-old appears on Real Housewives of Potomac and is married to cast member Ashley Darby. According to reports, late last week, prosecutors dropped charges of second-degree assault and improper sexual contact against him. Ramon Korionoff, a spokesman for the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office says,
“The case was dismissed due to insufficient evidence. The complaining witness states there were no witnesses who actually saw the incident.”
He also explained that the alleged victim
“did inform his supervisors immediately after. He provided several contact numbers for his supervisors, however no one ever called us back. We called the complaining witness to update him, however he hasn’t returned our call.”
There were also no witnesses, according to reports.
Michael’s attorney stated,
“The charges were dropped. They were baseless. There were a number of alleged witnesses who said it did not happen. The peace order request by the alleged victim was also denied. There was simply nothing that happened, and nothing here.”
As previously reported, Michael was accused of allegedly groping a cameraman while filming the show. The incident is said to have happened Sept. 1.
Ashley has maintained her husband’s innocence.
No additional details about the case have been released.
