Mel B Keeps Surgically-Removed Skin W/ Stephen Belafonte’s Tattooed Name In A Jar
Mel B Keeps The Surgically-Removed Skin With Stephen Belafonte’s Tattooed Name In A Jar
Following her split from Stephen Belafonte, Mel B took extreme measures to disconnect from him. The singer-turned-TV-host had a tattoo bearing his name surgically removed and reportedly keeps the removed skin in a jar.
The tattoo read: “Stephen, till death do us part you own my heart” and Mel B has a good reason for getting the tattoo cut off rather than removed by laser.
I just thought I can’t go through the pain of getting it lasered so I convinced a doctor to cut it off my body.
It sounds horrific, but what I went through was so horrific.
As for where Mel B keeps her displaced skin, she says it’s perfectly safe where only she can see it.
I’ve saved it in a jar, which sounds a bit strange, I know. It’s at the top of my wardrobe. Nobody can see it, but I know it’s there and it’s off my body.
Mel B reveals that much of the surgery she’s undergone was a result of her abusive relationship with Belafonte.
A lot of my surgery was to do with getting out of my abusive relationship. It was almost like a cleanse. I just wanted to feel fresh and new again and untouched by that person.
It’s like if you’re a rape victim the first thing you want to do is get in a bath and wash everything off you. I didn’t want to have any remnants of him on me.
