Cause Of Death Revealed For ‘The Young and the Restless’ Star Kristoff St. John
Just a little over a month ago fans were shocked and saddened to learn of the untimely passing of Emmy-winning The Young and the Restless star, Kristoff St. John’s death at the age of 52. Now, his official cause of death has been released by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
On February 3rd, beloved actor Kristoff St. John was found dead in his home in Woodland Hills, California. His death came a little over four years after the death of his son Julian, who committed suicide at the age of 24 following his battle with mental health issues.
St. John’s cause of death has been revealed—and, in short, it was due to heart disease. The coroner’s report stated the cause of death as “hypertrophic heart disease” with “effects of ethanol” cited as another significant condition. St. John’s death was also deemed accidental.
Earlier this month, St. John’s fiancée, Kseniya Mikhaleva, explained why she was unable to attend his funeral, stemming from issues with obtaining her visa and leaving her native Russia for the memorial service.

St. John is survived by Mikhaleva, his ex-wife Mia St. John, ex-wife Allana Nadal and his two daughters, Paris and Lola.
Fans of The Young and the Restless will have a few more chances to say goodbye to St. John, as a collection of April episodes will be centered around his death and memory.
