Clermont Twin Shannade Clermont Sentenced To 1 Year In Prison For Stealing Debit Card Info From Client Who Died From Overdose
A former reality TV star has been sentenced to a year in prison for stealing the debit card information of a client who died from a drug overdose.
Shannade Clermont, who is known for her appearance on “Bad Girls Club”, received the sentence on Thursday in federal court in Manhattan. Shannade, who is said to have been a prostitute, tearfully expressed remorse and asked the court for mercy in her sentence.
Prosecutors say Clermont was having a “prostitution date” with a man at his apartment in 2017 when he passed out. He was found dead there the next morning.
Clermont admitted in a guilty plea last year that she took his debit card information before leaving and later used it for a shopping spree.
The defendant, who was also a Yeezy season six campaign model, wasn’t charged in the death. But Judge Naomi Buchwald criticized her for not even bothering to call 911. [Click here and here for the backstory.]
