Roc Nation Records Fires Several Executive Staff Members
It appears that Roc Nation is cleaning house. According to reports, the entertainment company has given the axe to several of it’s senior-level executives.
Roc Nation, LLC is an American entertainment company founded by Jay-Z in 2008. The company has offices in New York City, London, Nashville, Austin, and Los Angeles. The full-service entertainment company houses a record label, talent agency, touring and concert production company, music, film, philanthropy and other business activities.
Their current roster includes Rihanna, J. Cole, Rapsody, Belly and Vic Mensa.
The following have been terminated: senior vp promotion Azim Rashid, senior vp A&R Orlando McGhee, executive vp marketing Gita Williams and senior director publicity Fairley McCaskill. The news was also confirmed by Joy Young, who was the Southeast Regional Promotions Director. She released a statement on social media.
Roc Nation has yet to comment.
