TDE President Punch Claims Black Executives Are Being Systematically Pushed Out Of Music Industry, Says Black Women Are The First To Go
Top Dawg Entertainment (#TDE) president Terrence “Punch” Henderson is raising concerns about the lack of Black representation in the music industry, particularly in executive positions.
Taking to X, #Punch, who also manages #SZA, questioned, “Where have all the black ppl gone in the music business??” He followed up with another post, saying Black executives are being systematically pushed out and replaced, with Black women being among the first impacted by industry layoffs. Calling the trend a major mistake, he argued that Black women are responsible for much of what drives the culture, adding, “They are the culture. Smh”
