YouTuber Star Etika Cause Of Death Listed As Suicide By Drowning
The cause of death of YouTube star Etika (real name Desmond Amofah) has been released. As previously reported, the 29-year-old was found dead on Monday in New York.
His body was found in the East River near the South Street Seaport after he was reported missing on June 19. Authorities have ruled his cause of death as suicide by drowning.
Prior to his body being found, police discovered a backpack and phone believed to belong to Amofah near the Manhattan Bridge.

According to reports, in April fans started to become concerned after he live streamed a heated encounter with the NYPD after cops responded to his apartment for another suicide threat.
Amofah was a video gamer and had more than 130,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel. No further details surrounding the cause of his death has been released.
