New Orleans Bounce Rapper 5th Ward Weebie Dies
It is a sad day for fans of bounce music. New Orleans-bred rapper, Jerome “5th Ward Weebie” Cosey, reportedly died yesterday (1/9/20). To fans of the bounce sound, he is best known for songs like “F*** Katrina” and “Let Me Find Out.” But others were introduced to him by his cameo on Drake‘s “In My Feelings.”
Sources say that Weebie had surgery for a ruptured artery, and died of complications while still in the hospital. P-Town Moe, a close friend of the rapper’s, spoke on his health issues on social media.
