Beijing Introduces “Obama Fried Chicken”

Forget Kentucky Fried Chicken, now in certain parts of the world, one can taste Obama Fried Chicken. Beijing now has a fast-food restaurant called, Obama Fried Chicken (OFC), with a picture of a man that closely resembles President Obama. Some say it could be a response to the U.S. filing a complaint with the World Trade Center about Chinese tarrifs on American chicken exports. According to the New York Times, the tarrifs affect an industry that employs about 300,000 people and ranges from 50 to 100 percent, which means some Chinese importers paid as much as twice the price for American chicken. But now even New York has hopped on the wagon, as there are 2 “Obama Fried Chicken” stores in Brooklyn and New York, which of course did not sit well with some that see it as racial stereotyping.
