T-Boz Talks Fight Brain Tumor, Health & Working On Solo Album

Earlier this week, T-Boz (real name Tionne Tenese Watkins) sat down with CNN, to talk about overcoming a struggle she dealt with since she was a toddler. At the age of 7, she was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Anemia, an incurable blood disorder that causes exhaustion and leaves people in constant pain. She said
“God has the last say so, at the end of the day I do believe there is a higher power.”
She also talked briefly about how doctors gave her life a timeline.
“Doctors they didn’t give me a very happy ending, you won’t live past 30, you know, you’ll be disabled your whole life, you’ll never have kids.”
In 2006 she was diagnosed with a brain tumor after having chronic headaches. Even though doctors didn’t approve her removing the tumor because of her sickle cell disease, she eventually removed it. She also shared that she has been in the studio, working on a solo album. Peep the video interview. Source
