Azelia Banks’ Mom Accuses Her Of Drug Abuse In Disturbing Text Messages: This Is An Extremely Toxic Relationship!

It’s been a challenging week for Azelia Banks, to say the least.  The rapper’s recent dealings on social media (Aug 8) had her fans alarmed after she wrote messages, that some believed alluded to her taking her own life.  In part, she wrote:

Yea, I think I’m done here. This pandemic, extreme lack of social interaction, no intimacy, combined with constant public ridicule is making life harder than it’s worth.

She also stated,

I think I will end my tenure here on earth soon.
In the next slide, Azealia Banks semi explains the prior post, while also adding doesn’t want sympathy nor empathy:
I’m not begging for attention or asking for sympathy/empathy……
I’m just ready to go. Peacefully of course.

Fans have been concerned with Azelia Banks‘ well-being since Aug 1 when she shaved her head, and now she may be revealing more pieces of the puzzle.

Banks took to her social media to open up about the toxic relationship she shares with her mother.  She posted a series of alleged text messages between her and her mother where her mom calls her a “drug addict”.

Her caption reads:

This is also why im extremely stressed out 24/7.  My mother has been wishing death on me , saying “I’m a piece of sh*t just like my father” since I was three years old.  This is an extremely toxic relationship I have to cut off.  She’s using the potential deaths of my other two dogs chicken and salt as collateral YET AGAIN.  If anyone want to adopt them in NYC I will let you know where she drops them because I can’t be dealing with this same abusive sh*t from childhood if I plan to get ahead and evolve.  I am done with this.

According to reports, her single mother raised her and two older sisters in Harlem, after their father died of pancreatic cancer when she was two years old.

Following her father’s death, Banks says that her mother

“became really abusive—physically and verbally. Like she would hit me and my sisters with baseball bats, bang our heads up against walls, and she would always tell me I was ugly. I remember once she threw out all the food in the fridge, just so we wouldn’t have anything to eat.”

Because of the reported escalating violence, Azelia moved out of her mom’s home at age 14 to live with her older sister.
