Chelsea Clinton Says She No Longer Speaks to Ivanka Trump: ‘I Have No Interest In Being Friends’
Chelsea Clinton is opening up about her former friendship with Ivanka Trump. The former first daughter appeared on Thursday’s (Oct.1) episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Chelsea Clinton shared that she has not been in contact with Ivanka Trump since the 2016 election, in which Ivanka’s father, Donald Trump, and Chelsea’s mother, Hillary Clinton, were running against each other. Chelsea said,
“I’ve not spoken to her since 2016. I have no interest in being friends with someone who is not only complicit, but actively taking part in this administration’s everyday collision of cruelty and incompetence. So, that’s the answer.”

Andy Cohen then asked Chelsea Clinton if there was ever a moment during the 2016 presidential campaign where she thought about reaching out to Ivanka to try and neutralize the situation. Chelsea had this to say,
“We were in touch at the beginning of the campaign, but it’s just really hard when there’s someone who’s actively embracing their candidate, whether it’s their father or not, who is trafficking in racism and sexism and anti-Semitism and Islamophobia and homophobia and transphobia and conspiracy theories and lies, and is so fundamentally corrupt.”
Chelsea Clinton and Ivanka Trump actively contributed to the 2016 presidential campaign alongside their parents.
As we know, Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential election and became the 45th President of the U.S. Ivanka is now a senior advisor in the White House.
