Singer Halsey Criticized For Taking Part In Jokes About Black People Getting Super Powers On December 21
Halsey hopped in a viral conversation about speculation that black people would gain superpowers Monday (Dec. 21st), but it ended with her facing lots of criticism.
The idea that blacks would get superpowers on the fateful day, also known as negro solstice, started earlier ths month. Twitter user @lottidot wrote:
“As black people, genetically we are stronger and smarter than everyone else, we are more creative, on December 21 our Real DNA will be unlocked and majority will be able to do things that we thought were fiction. Learn who u are as a people Woman with probing cane they wanna make us average,” she tweeted in the now viral tweet.
Now that December 21st has arrived, superpowers, December 21st, and negro solstice, trended on Twitter as the “Without Me” singer joined the conversation.
