Prince Markie Dee Of Hip-Hop Group ‘The Fat Boys’ Passed Away One Day Before His 53rd Birthday [CONDOLENCES]
We’re sending our condolences to the loved ones of The Fat Boys group member Prince Markie Dee, who reportedly passed away on February 18th. According to reports, Prince Markie Dee, born Mark Anthony Morales, died at the age of 52 on Thursday (Feb. 18th), one day before his 53rd birthday. A cause of death has yet to be released. The Fat Boys were a pioneering rap group back in the 1980s that helped bring beatboxing to mainstream media. The group released seven full-length albums.
Prince Markie Dee did go on to have a solo career in the early ’90s. He also wrote and produced for big-name musical artists including Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, and Marc Anthony. Before his passing Prince Markie Dee had a career as a popular radio DJ in Miami as well.
Prince Markie Dee’s manager, Louie “Uncle Louie” Gregory, confirmed the news on Twitter.
