Kim Kardashian Denies Catching COVID-19 After Her 40th Birthday Celebration + Claims She Caught It From Her Son Saint
Kim Kardashian is denying speculation that she caught COVID-19 during the private island trip she took with 40 of her friends and family last fall in celebration of her 40th birthday. On the reality TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, she revealed she battled with COVID-19 symptoms weeks after the lavish trip took place.
Buzzfeed reported,
“It seems that Kim tested positive roughly 10 days after returning from the infamous trip, and the Kardashians decided against disclosing her diagnosis at the time.”
Kim Kardashian refuted the speculation and claimed she caught COVID from her son Saint West, who allegedly caught it at school. She took to Twitter with this response:
“False. Nobody caught COVID from the trip. Saint was the first to have it in our family and he caught if from school from another student who tested positive first.”
In October, Kim Kardashian received tons of backlash for throwing a birthday celebration amid a global pandemic. The socialite was accused of being ‘tone-deaf’ for hosting a party and flaunting her wealth during a time where most people were simply trying to survive and manage amid the global crisis.
According to Kim, all party attendees underwent several health screenings to ensure they were coronavirus-free.
Kim defended the trip on Twitter and wrote in part,
“We danced, rode bikes, swam near whales, kayaked, watched a movie on the beach and so much more. I realize that for most people, this is something that is so far out of reach right now, so in moments like these, I am humbly reminded of how privileged my life is #thisis40.”
