Destiny’s Child Manager Matthew Knowles Claims There Are Currently No Plans For A Group Reunion
Matthew Knowles is addressing the recent speculation about there being a Destiny’s Child reunion.
Recently, people have been buzzing about the possibility of there being a Destiny’s Child reunion. The bulk of the speculation was started thanks to some activity being spotted on Destiny’s Child‘s official social media accounts. As previously reported, fans spotted the group’s account changing their headers on both Twitter and Facebook. This caused many to believe this was a sign that Destiny’s Child was gearing up for a reunion of some sort.

Additionally, the speculation was further fueled due to some comments made by Beyoncé.
In a recent interview, Beyoncé claimed new music is coming sometime in the near future:
“With all the isolation and injustice over the past year, I think we are all ready to escape, travel, love, and laugh again. I feel a renaissance emerging, and I want to be part of nurturing that escape in any way possible. I’ve been in the studio for a year and a half. Yes, the music is coming!”
This statement added to the reunion speculation because some fans believed the new music Beyoncé was referring to may be new Destiny’s Child tracks.
However, Matthew Knowles—Beyoncé‘s father and the official manager of Destiny’s Child–claims people are simply overreacting and jumping to conclusions. Matthew Knowles stated there are currently no plans for a Destiny’s Child reunion, new album, or tour underway. Additionally, he said the changes to the group’s Twitter and Facebook headers were simply standard social media updates.
Despite this, Matthew Knowles said it’s great that so many people want the group to reunite, and he claims he’ll keep it in mind for the future.
