According to Will Smith, before landing the role of ‘Will’ on the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, the government seized his house, cars, and he even went to jail.

Will Smith says,
“When it rains, it pours. So getting into the fight at the radio station, Charlie punching the dude that landed me in jail, so the money is gone, the car is gone. I am laying on the floor in a jail cell and I am like, ‘You’ve got to be kidding me!'”
He continued,
“I won a GRAMMY eight months ago. ‘Like, what is happening?’ And it’s just the spiral when it starts going the other way. It’s like, sometimes you just have to get out the way and wait until the downward spiral stops.”
Will Smith’s made headlines earlier this month after the ‘King Richard‘ star revealed he once contemplated killing his father.

Explaining his thought at the time, Smith wrote in an excerpt of his upcoming memoir Will,
“I’m Will Smith. No one would ever believe I killed my father on purpose. I’m one of the best actors in the world. My 911 call would be Academy Award level. As the decades of pain, anger, and resentment coursed then receded, I shook my head and proceeded to wheel Daddio to the bathroom.”
In addition to his memoir, the father of three is also releasing a YouTube docu-series The Best Shape Of My Life on Nov. 9th, 2021.
