Chris Rock Isn’t Ready To Speak W/ Will Smith Following His Latest Apology, Comedian Is ‘Assessing’ The Incident, Inside Sources Say
Chris Rock is not ready to speak with Will Smith after getting slapped by the actor at this year’s Oscar ceremony.
As you may already know, at the 2022 Academy Awards, actor Will Smith, 53, stormed onstage and slapped comedian Chris Rock, 57, over a joke made about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, 50.
The Grammy-winning actor recently issued another public apology for his display of conduct during the ceremony. In part, he said:

According to a source, Chris Rock had “moved on” from the incident before Will Smith issued his first on-camera apology. The insider said:
“Chris doesn’t need to talk. This is clearly something that bothers Will more than Chris. Will needs to deal with his issues. Chris is fine.”

“The fact that he is making jokes about it already is a good thing. That means he is assessing it. But the stress of the slap and the aftermath has not taken over his life. Quite the opposite.”
Despite Rock seemingly wanting to move past the incident, he recently talked about what happened while on his comedy “Ego Death World Tour.” As previously reported, hours after Smith issued his apology video, Rock joked about the slap during his show in Atlanta. He said:
