Joe Budden Reacts To Reviews That Jay-Z’s Verse On DJ Khaled’s ‘God Did’ Is His Best Rap Of All Time: It’s Not!
Joe Budden disagrees with Jay-Z’s verse on “God Did” being one of his top 10 verses of all time.
On the latest episode of media mogul Joe Budden’s podcast, he disclosed to his co-hosts that rap legend Jay-Z has many historic verses but his verse on DJ Khaled’s “God Did” isn’t one of them. When Joe Budden’s co-host alleged it was, the 42-year-old said:
“It’s not.”
His co-host said:
“The more you listen to it – it’s better than great.”
Budden replied:
“It’s not yo. Don’t be – where’s the keys? We don’t even have room for any more prisoners at the moment, let him out that cage.”
Budden elaborated:
“It’s a phenomenal verse but he’s phenomenal.”
His co-hosts argued that the verse is in HOV’s top 50 and Joe disagreed every time. Fans took to Instagram to share their thoughts on Budden’s opinions, with most of his fans agreeing with him.
As previously reported, NBA star LeBron James loved Jay-Z’s verse on the recently released track and acknowledged him on Twitter. Ari Melber, an MSNBC journalist, noted how the Grammy-award winner covered all the bases, including “draconian drug laws.”
Ari Melber said,
“There’s nothing automatically legitimate about wine or champagne. It was criminally punished during prohibition, a policy that ultimately fueled gangs and violence, and was the only constitutional amendment ever to be reversed because both parties determined that prohibition was a messy failure.”
In a tweet, LeBron James responded:
“Listen! Then listen again to make sure you got the point. HOV DID!!!! And so did the reporter! [goat emoji] TALK.”
Jay-Z acknowledged his flowers and replied to LeBron James:
“My only goal is to make the real “ones” feel seen , forgive me that’s my passion talking ….. haa .”
