Damon Wayans & Damon Wayans Jr. Starring In Father/Son CBS Comedy Sitcom
Damon Wayans and his son will be making us laugh on our television screens soon.

According to reports, Damon Wayans, 62, and Damon Wayans Jr., 39, will be starring in a father-son multi-camera comedy on CBS. The network will be putting together the untitled show, co-written by the elder Wayans and Kevin Hench, former “Last Man Standing” executive producer. Kevin Hench, Damon and his Jr. will be executive producers of the sitcom, which will be created in CBS Studios. The comedy features Damon Wayans “Poppa” who appears as a radio mogul who is happily divorced and has to prepare his adult son (Wayans Jr.), who has no motivation, to be his best self before he turns 40.

Wayans’ will be returning to comedy after he co-created, executive produced and appeared in “My Wife and Kids,” which aired on ABC for five seasons from 2001-2005. He then continued his acting career by starring in comedies “Happy Endings” and “New Girl” before headlining CBS’s “Happy Together,” which only lasted one season. Fans received a hint of what the father-son duo would be like on screen when Wayans Jr. appeared in “Happy Together” in an episode titled “Like Father, Like Son.”
