Beyoncé & Jay-Z Teaming Up In the Booth Again For Full-Length Collaboration As Final Installment In ‘Renaissance’ Trilogy
Beyoncé & Jay-Z Teaming Up In the Booth Again For Full-Length Collaboration As Final Installment In ‘Renaissance’ Trilogy
Another Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter and Jay-Z collaboration may be coming your way!
Kyle Buchanan, a pop culture reporter for the New York Times, broke the news on Thursday (Nov. 17), as Twitter users were in a frenzy over worries that Elon Musk‘s ownership would lead to the platform’s demise.
He claimed that the third and final installment of Beyoncé‘s Renaissance trilogy will be a full-length joint album with her iconic rapper husband Jay-Z (real name Sean Carter).
Buchanan tweeted,
“Before Twitter goes down, instead of making you follow me somewhere else, I’ll just tell you what I’ve heard about the other 2 acts of Beyonce’s 3-part “Renaissance” project (2nd act is an acoustic album, 3rd act is a collaboration with Jay-Z)”

Although Buchanan’s report has yet to be confirmed, Beyoncé shared on her website before its July 29 release that Renaissance was the first of a three-part series. She said it gave her a sense of freedom and adventure at a time when little else was happening in the world (i.e. the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown).
According to Beyoncé,
“This three act project was recorded over three years during the pandemic. A time to be still, but also a time I found to be the most creative. Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world.”
She added,
“My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration.”

Mr. and Mrs. Carter collaborated on EVERYTHING IS LOVE, which was unexpectedly released during their On the Run II Tour in June 2018.
Following the project’s first week of sales, which saw 123,000 album-equivalent units, it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. It later won Best Urban Contemporary Album at the 2019 Grammy Awards and was subsequently given a gold certification.

Renaissance is no different, hitting the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart shortly after release, marking the biggest debut by a female artist in 2022.
The couple has also joined forces for “Crazy In Love,” “’03 Bonnie & Clyde” and “Drunk In Love.”
Beyoncé and Hov continue to establish themselves as music’s top power couple after tying for the most Grammy nominations ever with 88 each. With nine nominations (thank you, Renaissance), Beyoncé is up for the most awards at the 2023 ceremony. Jay-Z earned himself three this go ’round for his verse on DJ Khaled‘s “God Did.”
As fans eagerly wait for the next installments of the queen’s seventh studio album, they should also get their coins ready — because a tour is reportedly in the works for 2023.
