Nas and 21 Savage put aside their beef and put their talents into a new song.

21 Savage
On Tuesday (Nov. 29) 21 Savage and Nas joined forces on a new track titled “One Mic, One Gun” after the London rapper previously labeled Nas as “irrelevant.” The three-minute song displays the two Grammy-winning MCs showing that although there’s a generational gap between them, there can still be unity.
During the start of the track, produced by Hit-Boy, 21 Savage reflects on his controversial remarks about Nas, stating:
“When you turn a legend, no such thing as relevance.”
As previously reported, a few days after Nas’ 16th studio album, “King’s Disease III,” was released, 21 Savage didn’t hold anything back while sharing his opinion about the New York native’s relevancy. He said:
“Technically, anybody can [drop an album]. Like, all them n*ggas could drop one if they wanted to. What y’all saying [is] relevant, though? I don’t feel like he’s relevant. I just feel like he got a fanbase.”

After facing backlash, 21, born Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, later clarified his comments on Twitter, writing:
“I would never disrespect nas or any legend who paved the way for me y’all be tryna take stuff and run with it.”

On their new track, the “Her Loss” artist refers to himself and Nas, born Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones, as “the Capo” and “the Don,” while admitting his intentions to follow in Esco’s footsteps, both as an artist and businessman. The 30-year-old raps:
“My net worth like eight-figures, I’m working on getting me nine.”
He adds:
“I ain’t going against no legend, n-gga, I’m trying to be next in line.”

Nas
Last night (Nov. 29) Nas took to Instagram to promote “One Mic, One Gun,” while explaining his excitement in a quick caption. The 49-year-old wrote:
“Nas x @21savage TONIGHT Only way we moving is with love, respect and unity. The foundational principles of hip hop. Excited to collaborate with my young brother and I hope more artist use turbulent moments and turn them into a time to make new art. That’s what it’s about.”
