No Shade, But Brandy Doesn’t Like Beyonce Comparisons :: “I wish these fans would quit…”

32 year old Brandy Norwood is in the process of finishing up her come-back album. It will be her first, since 2008, when she dropped her last album, “Human.” As fans anticipate hearing what she’s come up with almost 4 years later, the media is also buzzing to get some details about what’s going on with her. To date, we know that she has recorded a song with Monica, titled “It All Belongs To Me.” It is also rumored that she’ll have a song with Nicki Minaj (but we think that may be very false, but are kinda hoping that it’s true!). And she recently sat down for an interview, where she explained why she doesn’t like being compared to Beyonce, or any other artist. Peep what she had to say:

“I wish these fans would quit that because when you put competition in the midst of what’s so unique and different about every artist that’s out there, it keeps you from appreciating everybody. Yes, everybody has some preference, but if you like Beyonce AND Lady Gaga AND Rihanna, and not put them against each other, then you can enjoy all three. I have all three of their albums, I love them all. Because everybody has their own tone, their own sound. Nobody can be Beyonce better than Beyonce. Nobody can be me better than me. Or any of these other great artists; Adele, Alicia Keys. Let people be unique, and ya’ll fans, stop putting us against each other. It’s not even right, especially when the artists that you’re putting against each other actually like each other. That’s cray.”

She also gave her opinion on Bey and Jay’s new baby.

“I love the name Blue Ivy. I think that is such a gorgeous name and I think Bey is gonna make a wonderful Mom, and I think Jay is gonna make a wonderful Dad. And I just love their whole thing. I really believe that it’s real and I love it. I’m so happy for them.”
