Chris Rock ‘Doesn’t Give A Sh*t’ About The Harsh Opinions For His Latest Netflix Special, Sources Claim
Chris Rock does not care about what the critics have to say about his Netflix special.
A source in the entertainment industry claims that two days after the comedian made fun of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith during Chris Rock: Selective Outrage, which is also Netflix’s first live comedy show, he is on a high and isn’t letting the haters get to him.
During the stand-up, filmed in Baltimore, Chris Rock said:
“Everybody that really knows, knows I had nothing to do with that sh*t. I didn’t have any entanglements,'”
He also said,
“Will Smith practices selective outrage.”

The comedian was making reference to back in July 2020, when Jada Pinkett Smith disclosed that she once had an “entanglement” with vocalist August Alsina while she and her husband were on a break.
And according to an insider:
“He said what he needed to say and doesn’t give a sh*t about the reaction either way. He isn’t worried.”
The source noted that
“people have been waiting for [Rock’s] reaction for a year. For the most part, I think it was well received. People don’t expect sugarcoating from Chris Rock.”
Chris Rock addressed the attack in his live special on Saturday night (Mar. 4), declaring he “is not a victim” of the incident that occurred a year ago at the 94th Academy Awards when Will Smith slapped him in the face onstage following a joke made about Jada Pinkett Smith.
Rock has been called out by quite a few people for what they perceive as not-so-funny jokes, including Taj Jackson, the nephew of Michael Jackson.
During his special, Rock made fun of music lovers who still listen to Michael Jackson’s music but refuse to play a song from R. Kelly. Well, let’s just say Taj Jackson is now happy the comedian got slapped in the face a year ago.

Taj Jackson said,
“After seeing a new clip of him attacking my dead uncle in the first minutes of his “Retaliation-I’m still relevant ”special, I have 3 things to say.
- What did my family ever do to you to warrant these decades of harassment and your constant bullying disguise as jokes?
- Just because you were bullied early on in life doesn’t give you the excuse to bully others now.
- Thank you Will Smith.”
