Another celebrity athlete has earned themselves an assault charge.
Former Kansas City Chiefs player Darron Lee was reportedly arrested this past Monday (April 3rd), following an alleged physically violent confrontation with his mother and his girlfriend.

Reportedly, the 28-year-old appeared in court on Tuesday to be arraigned for two separate incidents involving the women. Darron Lee is accused of assaulting his girlfriend Lindsey McGlone back in October of last year. Additionally, the athlete is said to have bruised his own mother more recently as she tried to mediate an altercation between the strained couple.

McGlone reportedly called 911 after the Monday incident, telling police Darron assaulted his mother Candice Lee. Reportedly, Lindsey told authorities Candice came to the home to support her after expressing she felt unsafe. Allegedly Darron threw his mother to the ground during the incident, punching her in the face. Lindsey reportedly described to the moment to police, stating Candice:
“[was] lying on her back with Mr. Lee overtop of her with a raised fist.”
Candice was reportedly taken to the hospital for injuries. Lindsey then told officials about the October incident. She claimed Darron accused her of cheating before grabbing her by the throat and throwing her to the ground. Allegedly, the sports professional also threatened to kill her and their shared 2-year-old son.

According to the report, Darron initially told police a female relative hit him upon being arrested. Shortly after, he alleged that a skin condition caused discoloration on his face. He reportedly also denied his girlfriends previous assault claim, reversely stating she assaulted him.
Darron received two misdemeanors of assault and domestic violence – knowingly causing physical harm and a bond of $20,000 for each incident. Reportedly, there’s an active temporary protection order in place with the women, and the ex football player is set to appear back in court the 27th of this month.
