Lizzo — Myke Wright’s Alleged Ex-Girlfriend Claims He Ended Their 10-Year Relationship To Be w/ The Grammy-Award Winner Who ‘Wasn’t Very Nice’
Another woman has come forward with her own set of allegations against Lizzo — and this time they’re related to her love life.
Myke Wright, Lizzo‘s boyfriend, allegedly ended his 10-year relationship with a woman named Brooklyn Elizabeth Brown so he could be with the singer, according to an emotional TikTok video posted on Thursday (Aug. 3).
In the video, Brown recalled first meeting Lizzo when her boyfriend and the “Good as Hell” singer co-hosted MTV’s Wonderland in 2016. Brown claimed that the pop star “wasn’t very nice” and didn’t like her.

She said,
“I kind of ignored it because I felt like well, she’s already in the celebrity scene or whatever, and she probably feels like she has better things to do than talk to me.”
Brown continued,
“I just noticed that even when we were out to eat or at the beach or something, she still wasn’t very nice to me. And it wasn’t like a production thing like, ‘oh she’s just really busy’ or whatever, she just didn’t like me. She didn’t say anything that was mean. But she was really like, stand-offish or wouldn’t talk to me. When I talked to her it was kind of like, ‘oh, okay. Get the f*ck away from me. I don’t want to talk to you.'”
Brown claimed she eventually learned that Lizzo — real name Melissa Viviane Jefferson — and her alleged boyfriend “had something going on.”
Brown described the situation as “heartbreaking,” recalling how she had stood by Myke Wright “through everything,” and when he finally got a “big break,” he left her for Lizzo. Brown asserted that the entire ordeal was extremely detrimental to her mental health.
She added,
“I went through a really difficult period of time trying to be OK with this because it wasn’t just like ‘oh I broke up with my boyfriend,’ it was like ‘oh, I broke up with my boyfriend and he left me for a person who wasn’t very nice to me.’ And turned out to be … a Grammy-Award winning celebrity and everybody in the world loves her and her message is like love and light and positivity, after knowing how she treated me.”

Brown claimed that she opted not to talk about her prior experience because she didn’t want to come across as a “whiny little baby.” She also expressed that she would avoid mentioning Lizzo by name when she did talk about what occurred out of fear that no one would care or be sympathetic.
Brown acknowledged that Myke Wright was truly at blame for the issue rather than Lizzo, but she insisted that the two could’ve been more considerate in the way they got together.
Brown‘s accusations come as Lizzo, her production company, Big Grrrl Big Touring Inc.; and dance caption Shirlene Quigley are the subjects of a harassment and hostile work environment lawsuit.
As previously reported, three of Lizzo‘s former dancers — Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez — recently filed a lawsuit against her over claims that she and the leader of her dance crew fostered a hostile work environment.
According to the lawsuit, Lizzo was involved in multiple incidents that, among other things, the three dancers’ attorneys said constituted sexual harassment and weight shaming.
The dancers were “exposed to an overtly sexual atmosphere that permeated their workplace,” the lawsuit claimed, including “outings where nudity and sexuality were a focal point.”
Lizzo has addressed the accusations from the dancers in a statement to her social media channels, calling them false.
She said,
“These sensationalized stories are coming from former employees who have already publicly admitted that they were told their behavior on tour was inappropriate and unprofessional.”
Lizzo continued,
“With passion comes hard work and high standards. Sometimes I have to make hard decisions but it’s never my intention to make anyone feel uncomfortable or like they aren’t valued as an important part of the team.”
