‘Basketball Wives: Los Angeles’ — Evelyn Lozada Has Words w/ Show Newcomer Vanessa Rider After Being Called ‘Homewrecker’ Over Relationship w/ Carl Crawford
Evelyn Lozada is back for Basketball Wives: Los Angeles for season 11 — and the drama returned with her.
The season premiere on Monday (October 9), saw Evelyn Lozada have a sit-down with fellow cast members Jackie Christie, Brooke Bailey, and newcomer Vanessa Rider. During the conversation, Rider accused Evelyn Lozada of being a home wrecker, alleging that the OG had an intimate relationship with Carl Crawford while he was dating her friend.
Rider said the woman was “holding [Carl] down for 12 years” and was pregnant with his child when he started dating Lozada.

However, Lozada remembered the 10-year-old situation differently, claiming that Carl Crawford told her the woman was his ex-girlfriend. The conversation ended with Lozada referring to Rider as nasty and disgusting, noting that they don’t have to be around each other.
Rider is the wife of Isaiah Rider, who had stints with a few teams — including the Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Lakers, and Denver Nuggets — during his nine seasons in the NBA.
The two women have since addressed the dispute on their respective social media accounts. Rider said,
“This is NOT MY STORYLINE- I was contacted in February (again) to join the cast- I moved to LA in May to expand my business, started filming in May. / NOT ONCE TIME Did anyone tell me Evelyn was on the cast. Nor did i mention Evelyn to casting or production.”

She continued,
“It was revealed to me when Jackie invited me to her event. I don’t care if 10 years have passed I, I’m not going to FAKE KICK IT around anyone- I don’t appreciate home wreckers- I stand on that, and I can have my opinion.”
Lozada started dating former basketball player Carl Crawford, the CEO of 1501 Certified Entertainment, in 2013, and the two got engaged in December of that year. The former lovers — who are parents to Carl Jr. — split in 2017, allegedly because of Crawford‘s infidelity.
In her post on X, Lozada said,
“I’m so sorry to Carl’s ex that your so called “friend/family” would lie on national TV for a storyline! With friends like this who needs enemies! #BasketballWives.”
