Beyoncé’s concert film reportedly amassed a $95 million weekend overall, the largest for a first-December weekend since 2018. In addition, the “Renaissance” worldwide tour documentary initially received a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes from critics.

The movie, titled “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé,” offers a behind-the-scenes look at the work the superstar singer put into her widely acclaimed “Renaissance” world tour, which is based on her seventh studio album. The film features songs the musical icon performed during her concerts, as well as guest appearances from Megan Thee Stallion and Kendrick Lamar.
The “Renaissance” movie is exclusively shown in AMC Theatres as the chain’s second concert film this year following Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” movie, which marked the biggest opening weekend to date for any concert film.
