Sexyy Red Calls Joe Budden ‘So Dumb’ After He Alleges Drake Gets Paid To Support Her

Joe Budden believes Drake’s relationship with Sexyy Red comes with a price tag.

In a recent episode of the Joe Budden Podcast, the former rapper alleged that Drake is getting paid to promote Sexyy Red.

However, the “Poundtown” artist responded to the allegation on X and said, 

“They so dumb.”

Provoking Sexyy Red’s response was Joe Budden’s original remark about Drake receiving a check off the success of other rappers. According to Joe Budden, this would explain why Drake has appeared in Red’s music videos and continues publicly supporting her.

When asked if his comment was “confirmed” or some “inside sh*t” by co-host Trevor “Queenzflip” Robinson, Budden replied,

“Oh, you think he [Drake] just likes being around Sexyy Red?”

Despite the 43-year-old’s take on Drake and Red’s relationship, it’s no secret that the rap stars have formed a tight bond since her rise to fame last year.

For example, on Thursday (March 28),  Sexyy Red, who recently welcomed her second child, took to Instagram to show off her latest perk of being friends with the 6 God. The post featured Sexyy Red posing in front of a private jet with the caption that read, in part, 

“When @champagnepapi send you ah private jet to New York.”

In addition, the OVO Sound founder recently gifted the “Skee Yee” rapper four Chanel bags and wads of cash amounting to $50,000. Sexyy Red showcased all the lavish gifts on X, shouting out her “rich baby daddy” Drake. On March 9, she wrote, 

“Rich baby daddy gang 50k n four chanel bags fa a bad Bthc Thank You Drake.”

A couple of months ago, Drake also seemingly gave Sexyy Red a shoutout on IG. Sharing photos from his “It’s All a Blur — Big As the What? Tour” with J.Cole and Lil Durk, he wrote as the caption, 

“Red really my muse in this short and confusing life.”
