Saweetie Calls Out Warner Bros Records, Asks Them To Approve The Budget For Her Long-Awaited Debut Album
Rap star Saweetie is ready to release new music, but is seemingly waiting on the green light from her record label.
The 30-year-old took to her comments section recently to call out Warner Bros Music, suggesting they’ve been holding her up by not approving her album’s budget.

Saweetie, real name Diamonté Quiava Valentin Harper, made the remark under a reel she recently posted to Instagram featuring a snippet of her unreleased single titled “Nani.” After her record label commented fire emoji’s under the video, the self-proclaimed ‘Icy Girl’ wrote back:
“can y’all approve the budget?”

While it doesn’t appear Warner responded publicly to the comment, it’s apparent the musician is eager to drop new music. It’s been nearly three years since Saweetie’s debut album Pretty B*tch Music was originally slated to be released. The record will be the rapper’s first full-length studio project since signing with Warner back in 2018. If you recall, Saweetie previously opened up about going to get her breasts enhanced after securing her first $10,000 gig once she got her record deal.

When it comes to the music, however, the rapper has struggled to put out a full length project. In a recent interview, Saweetie admitted to sometimes feeling insecure as an artist and shared she tends to overthink things, leading to several delays in her album’s release. Thus far, Saweetie has dropped several notable singles and EPs, including her Billboard charting singles “My Type” (2019) and “Best Friend ft. Doja Cat” (2021). To stir up hype for her forthcoming album, the musician recently released her single “Richtivities” just last month.
At this time, there has still been no official word on when Saweetie fans can expect the new album. Judging by her recent request from Warner, it appears the time is coming sooner than later.
