Cardi B Sued For Copyright Infringement Over ‘Enough (Miami)’ Single
Cardi B might have to prove she didn’t copy her single “Enough (Miami)” in a courtroom.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Belcalis Cephus, known professionally as Cardi B, is being sued for copyright infringement over claims she jacked parts of her hit tune from another rapper. Cardi B’s labels Atlantic Records and Warner Music Group, producers OG Parker and DJ SwanQo are also named in the lawsuit.
Reportedly, Native American rapper Sten Joddi, real name Joshua Fraustro, believes Cardi and her associates used parts of his 2021 song “Greasy Frybread” on her record without his permission. Sten Joddi’s track was used as a promo for the FX series Reservation Dogs.
Cardi’s “Enough (Miami)” was released a few years after Sten Joddi’s song on March 15, 2024. It debuted at number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 and marked the Grammy Award winner’s first solo top-ten since “Up” in 2021. At the time of this report, Cardi and her team have not publically responded to the lawsuit.
